Today and tomorrow will be hard..

I know Today and Tuesday will be very hard for my family, but when times are hard we do know how to pull together and be their for one another. As I look back on the events of the last few months, from the first day we sat in the doctors office and heard the news, to the very end. I have learned how precious life is and to not wait until tomorrow to say what you want to say to the people in your life. Live everyday to the fullest, if you are not happy with something in your life then change it ,you are the one who has the power to do it. I have also learned that it is true that when you are sick the people who love you the most will be there by your-side.

So, how do you get through the death of a loved one? How do you get over it? How do you feel better?
You don't.

You will move on, you will have a life. But you will never get over it. You will live through it, you will have an incredible story that will bring tears to people's eyes, and you will be stronger then you were before you started the journey into caring for a loved one with cancer.

  1. This song has such meaning.

    Thinking of you all.

  2. You are right, Diane. You will NEVER get over it. You will learn to LIVE with it but you NEVER get "over it". Also you can NOT get "around IT" (the pain), you have to go "through it". To deal with it, cry when you need to and lean on those around you who truely care. Talk about him, remember him, laugh when you think of the good times you've had with him. THAT will keep his memory alive!
Praying for you all, and remember, I am here for you if you ever need anything! All you need to do is ask...
